02. Social Sciences, Humanities and Religious Studies — Social inquiry, culture, history, philosophy, ethics, religion, and interdisciplinary humanities research.

03. Education, Language and Learning — Educational research, pedagogy, curriculum, language studies, and learning development.

04. Economics, Business and Development — Economic studies, management, entrepreneurship, and sustainable socioeconomic development.

05. Environmental, Agricultural and Sustainability Studies — Environmental research, agriculture, natural resources, and sustainability.

Types of Manuscripts

Original Research Articles. JALR prioritizes original studies presenting clearly defined research questions, appropriate methodologies, substantive findings, and contributions to existing knowledge.

Scholarly Review Articles. The journal also considers rigorous literature reviews, including systematic, scoping, and critical reviews, where the review question, source-selection approach, analytical method, and scholarly contribution are clearly demonstrated.

Editorial and Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance, compliance with submission requirements, and suitability for scholarly evaluation. Manuscripts that pass this screening proceed to double-anonymous peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another.

For manuscripts proceeding to external evaluation, the journal's editorial policy targets assessments from three independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject of the manuscript. Reviewers assess originality, methodological rigor, analytical quality, scholarly contribution, referencing, and research integrity.

Reviewer reports are documented through the journal's editorial management system. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts in response to substantive reviewer comments. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, review findings, research integrity, and the adequacy of revisions.

The journal maintains operational targets for timely editorial processing; however, evaluation periods may vary according to the complexity of the manuscript, reviewer availability, and the revisions required. No accelerated acceptance or guaranteed publication is offered.
