Focus and Scope

LOCUS JOURNAL OF ACADEMIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Focus and Scope

Multidisciplinary scholarship grounded in disciplinary expertise, methodological rigor, and responsible academic publishing.

Aims and Scope

Locus Journal of Academic Literature Review (JALR) is a multidisciplinary scholarly journal that publishes original research articles and scholarly review articles across the social sciences, humanities, and clearly defined areas of applied science. The journal promotes rigorous, ethically conducted research that advances disciplinary knowledge and encourages meaningful dialogue across fields.

JALR particularly welcomes studies addressing law and governance, society and culture, education and language, economics and development, environmental sustainability, and selected applied-science questions. Research may examine local, national, or international contexts, provided that its objectives, methods, findings, and contributions are clearly articulated.

Types of Contributions

Original Research Articles. Empirical, doctrinal, conceptual, experimental, qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method studies that present original findings or arguments, explain their methods transparently, and make a demonstrable contribution to scholarship.

Scholarly Review Articles. Systematic, scoping, integrative, or critical reviews that use an explicit and appropriate approach to identifying, appraising, and synthesizing existing scholarship. Reviews should develop substantive insights rather than merely summarize prior publications.

Interdisciplinary Submissions

Studies that connect two or more of the listed areas are welcome when the interdisciplinary approach is clearly justified, the research questions are sufficiently focused, and the manuscript engages meaningfully with the relevant scholarly literature and methods.

Editorial Screening and Scope Limitations

Every submission is assessed for relevance to JALR's stated scope, originality, clarity of contribution, methodological suitability, and compliance with the journal's submission and publication-ethics requirements. Manuscripts that fall outside the stated areas of focus may be declined without external review.

The journal does not claim coverage of every discipline within the natural sciences, engineering, clinical medicine, or computing. Submissions in specialized or emerging areas will be considered only if their subject matter falls within the published scope and the journal can secure sufficiently qualified and independent reviewers.

The decision to send a manuscript for peer review does not guarantee acceptance. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevant expert assessments, research integrity, and the journal's editorial standards.

Before submitting: Authors should consult the Author Guidelines, Peer Review Process, and Publication Ethics before preparing a submission.
